Attorney Brian M. Monk

Brian Monk has lived in the Central Florida area nearly his entire life. In 2000, he graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Business Management and a B.A. in Political Science. Thereafter, Brian earned a Law degree, a Master’s of Education degree and Specialist degree in counseling from the University of Florida. While in law school, Brian earned a Certificate in Family Law and was named a Fellow of the UF Law Center on Children and Families.

Sara-Jean Palmer

Sara-Jean Palmer is an associate attorney at the Monk Law Firm and a 1987 graduate of Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. Prior to attending law school, Sara-Jean obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from C.W. Post College of Long Island University. Sara-Jean is a member of The Florida Bar, as well as an inactive member of the Alabama State Bar. She began her legal career as a law clerk for then Chief Judge Clifford E. Sanders of the Tennessee Court of Civil Appeals, Eastern Division. She later relocated to Florida and became a Career Staff Attorney at the Florida Second District Court of Appeal in Lakeland. Upon entering private law practice, Sara’s main areas of concentration were appellate practice and litigation support. In 2009, she accepted a position as an Assistant State Attorney with the Office of the State Attorney for the Tenth Judicial Circuit in the Child Support Enforcement Division. There, she represented the Department of Revenue in child support and paternity matters. Sara-Jean ultimately became the Director of the Child Support Enforcement Division, retiring therefrom in October 2020, after eleven years of service. During her tenure as a practicing Florida attorney, Sara also served on the Florida Bar’s Appellate Rules Committee for two terms from 2009 through 2015. Apart from the practice of law, Sara-Jean spends her free time training in the equine sport of Dressage with her horse, Bellini, visiting her family in upstate New York, and relaxing at home with her faithful dog, Black Jack.

Nick Cacciatore

Nick Cacciatore

Nick Cacciatore is an associate attorney at Monk Law Firm and FAMU College of Law graduate. He is a former Officer of the United States Army. Nick began his work with Attorney Brian Monk as a Legal Assistant in February 2015. In 2017, he graduated cum laude from Southeastern University and earned a B.S. in Legal Studies with Minors in Theology and Military Science. Upon graduation, Nick was honored the title of Distinguished Military Graduate from Florida Southern College. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his family at the beach and taking his dog Juliet to the park.

Ryan Bergeron

Ryan was born in Florida and has lived in Polk County his entire life. He received his AA from Valencia Community College in 2015, and his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Central Florida in 2019. He began his career with the Monk Law Firm in October 2019 as a Paralegal.

Marion Stewart

Marion Stewart is a Paralegal at Monk Law Group. She is a graduate from Cabrini College where she received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and an ABA Paralegal Certificate from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Marion is a New Jersey Native and moved to Florida in 2001. When not working, Marion enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
